The purpose of Be Everything You Are!
Be Everything You Are! exists because every neurodiverse child deserves to grow up confident in exactly who they are. My purpose is to support the adults around them, parents, educators and professionals, to understand, align and actively shape the story each child tells about themselves.
What we do
I work alongside families, schools and allied health professionals to build confidence in neurodiverse children across every environment. Through my organiser, school program and podcast, I support parents to better understand and advocate for their child, and help educators truly understand the families in front of them, so everyone around the child is informed, aligned and working together.
Why I do it - Monique's story
I'm a primary school teacher, wife and mum to four boys. Between us we navigate ADHD, ASD, ODD and anxiety. I've sat on both sides of the table, knowing how hard it is to navigate the education system for neurodiverse students, their teachers and families.
Long before any of that, I was a daughter, watching someone I love carry the weight and lifelong impact of negative messaging from school. This is why I care so deeply about the future of every neurodiverse child.
Why it matters
The stories children carry about themselves shape who they become. Neurodiverse children receive a disproportionate amount of negative messaging that shapes those stories in ways that follow them for life. When a child feels supported and understood, everything changes. A confident neurodiverse child grows up knowing their own value, appreciating their creativity and originality, and ready to give the world everything they have to offer.
A note from Monique
If you've read this far, something here has probably resonated. Maybe you've felt the exhaustion of carrying this alone. Maybe you've sat in a school meeting and left feeling unheard. Maybe you've watched your child come home defeated one too many times.
You don't have to keep carrying this by yourself. BEYA exists because I wished something like it had existed for me. I'm here because I know what changes when the right support is in place.
